Today I am thankful for a very special moment in my life. Eight years ago today I was very fortunate to witness a brave young woman give birth to a beautiful baby boy. She then placed him in my arms and said to me - "Say hello to your son". She gave me a tremendous gift and I will be eternally grateful to her.....Happy Birthday Michael...my sweet little boy, my special Valentine!

I normally participate in Thankful Thursday. I should have added my name to the list, even though my post today is a bit heavier than usual....
I thought that "thankful thursday" was this ingeniously fun idea that "I" came up with, until I found out that some other very smart peeps had the same, uh hem, original idea. So, here I am, thankful to know that so many others are giving thanks for their blessings.

Ok, so I work at a computer company and don't know how to have a "blog". Today I am thankful for you. Many many years ago I met you. It has been a blessing in my life. I know that you love me and my family unconditionally. When I divorced my first husband and moved back to California, you and Dave took me back into the fold. No question, no problems, just love. Many holidays I've spent with you. Now I am gone back east yet again, and you still take me into your fold. You make sure that my daughter, Andrya, is not left out there alone, but welcomed with open arms into your family. I will never be able to tell you how much I love you and Dave and the whole group. Therefore Allison, remember, 3,000 miles away, I am always thankful for you.
Say happy birthday to Michael for me. He is so blessed and I'm glad that he's in our family. Also, lucky that he shares his birthday with his grandma.
