Fun Monday

Our Hostess with the Mostess this week is Sayre. Her assignment is the following:

Every day as I go to work, I see things around me that make me laugh. Usually these are in the forms of signs. So take your camera with you as you go about your business and take a picture of the things that make you laugh along the way (but it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be a sign).

What a fun assignment!!! I am looking forward to everyone's post this week.....

Here are my signs from around town this week:

Don't you think a sidewalk would be safer than a street??

This made me laugh....the Senior Center making a requirement that you must be over 21 years old!!

I think this is a very confused place....Is it Brazilian or Italian?? Hmmm

Ok...so where does the free part come in?? Another Hmmmm...

The last 2 pictures were taken in San Francisco today, near Fisherman's Wharf...that may explain them!!

Have a wonderful Fun Monday..don't forget to check out everyone else's funny signs....the list is at Sayre's place!!

Yeah, like there's going to be a big run on teens crashing the senior citizen's ballroom dancing class! I get the other one two chefs--one Italian, one Brazilian-fell in love and started a restaurant together. I don't know how the samba teacher figures in.

Great signs.
The sidewalk reminds me of a situation in our town this weekend (but I didn't get a picture). The right lane is closed as they build a driveway for a new business. The signs announcing the closure are posted AFTER the construction. Duh.

ROFL Those are great, girl! I signed up for Fun Monday, but unfortunately haven't gotten out of the house because of the weather and a massive science fair project. *sigh* Maybe I can sneak out for a few quick pics in the a.m.

Funny signs are all in the way you interpret them, the creators probably were sending a clear message in their minds.

You found some fun ones. This is going to be a Fun Monday for sure...

The ice cream sign is too funny! It's all about communication, people! Unfortunately (or fortunately) it doesn't always come across the way they meant it to.

Terrific! I love the senior center one.

They're great. I too particularly liked the senior center one ( probably because I am very senior!)

I would like a free ice cream! And my goodness what a confused restaurant. The senior centre sign did it for me though :)

Great signs I love the over 21 one. That restaurant is seriously confused doesn't pizza qualify as Italian or is it American now?

Good choices! (I would tend to skip the hybrid restaurant myself.)

Great post. I can semi-explain the Brazilian cafe one: Brazil has a large population of refugees from the Axis partners of WWII. Both the bad guys and the refugees went there. I'm surprized there's no sushi listed.

San Francisco??

Excuse me. I have to go cry now.

My boyfriend is from Brazil. I'll have to ask him if they have crazy places down there advertising American/Chinese/hamburgers/french fries or something crazy like that.

We used to drive past a place that advertised Diesel Fried Chicken. Punctuation - it's so important!

Beckie said...

Yeah, a little time in San Fran would be fun!

I like the senior one.

ah, samba and pizza..... i think that idea has legs.

and extra cheese.

Jo Beaufoix said...

Hmmm, maybe you can get a Brazilian while you have your dinner.
Sorry, had to lower the tone. :D

HA! On Jo's comment!! Funnnnyyy!!

But, WHILE YOU EAT DINNER? Apparently she knows not of what she speaks!

Anyways......your signs make me think a whole lot more people need proof readers looking over their shoulders when they come up with these things--what are they thinking??

:)

Boy I'm sure if MY teenagers saw that there would be dancing at the senior center they'd crash that in a heartbeat...NOT. I seriously doubt they're going the have to card anyone there! Funny signs.

i'd love me some free ice cream... even if i have to buy 2 first.

and i just LOVE the idea of the age restriction on the senior center. toooooo funny!

Maybe it's a Brazilian/Italian crossover. Maybe you get more than you bargain for in San Francisco?

Robinella said...

Those are funny. I was thinking of dancing when I read Samba Rooms.

Bren said...
