My Presents

I have a special guest blogger today....my daughter Cassie!!!!

Hi this is Cassie. Tonight I am writing my mom's blog. I am writing because my mom said I can. I received some presents in the mail today. They were from Karisma. She sent me them because she loves my poetry. I am writing more poetry every day. I hope you are enjoying them. For Young Authors this year I am doing a nature poetry book. It has poems about trees, the sun, clouds, and a whole bunch of nature. Below you can see some pictures of me getting my present in the mail.
When I opened the present, this is what I found. A book, a body wash, a card, earrings, bath foam, and a fairy booklet.
When I opened the card, which by the way was very cute, inside was a note telling me to keep writing poetry.
This is me with all my presents. Earrings in my mouth. Book, card, and fairy booklet in my left hand. My body wash and bath foam in my right.
This is me wearing my pretty earrings. I love the way they look. They are one of my favorite earrings now. I have alot of earrings!!

Thank you Karisma!!! I love all my gifts. Big fairy kisses to you!!

If you want to read more of my poetry tell my mommy to post more on her blog.
Thanks for reading my first blog post......it was fun!!

You, my dear, are one lucky girl to get that present in the mail. I too loved to write poetry at your age and still do occasionally. Although, you are braver than me because I didn't like sharing it with people. I was too shy. Keep writing!

Hi Cassie!

I also think your Mom should post more of your poems.

You're a very good writer and I am very impressed with your vocabulary at your age.

Keep up the creativity!!

Thank you guys!!!! I am glad you enjoyed it. I will make sure my mommy posts more poetry and lets me write on her blog more often. It is fun!!! You can write whatever you want. I hope I win 1st place in young authors. If I do, I will be sure to share my poems with you. Even if I dont I will still share them with you. After I wrote last night I wanted to write more. I also asked my mom if I could make an award to give out she said maybe later. I hope that is a yes!! If I write more please read, it will make me happy.

Hey, great first post! Looks like mom may have to hook you up with a blog of your own before long. :) Congrats on all the nice gifts! Keep that poetry coming. :)

Cassie - from one poet to another: one of the best ways to get better at poetry is to spend a lot of time reading other great poetry! Since you are interested in nature poetry right now, you might try Mary Oliver. Most of her poems are based in nature, and she wrote one of my most favorite poems ever -- "Wild Geese." You will know for sure you are a writer if you can't stop. I look forward to reading more of your poems!

Ha ha! Hey Cassie! Glad you liked your pressies! I was a little worried you might be getting a little too "old" for the fairy stuff! He he! Around here, one is NEVER too old for fairies! As for the poetry well what can I say! NEVER NEVER GIVE UP! And contrary to what Irene says about reading other peoples poetry, sorry dear I don't agree! Do not be influenced by other peoples writings my love! What comes from the heart and soul is purely yours and yours alone! Remember that and you will keep doing as brilliantly as you are now!

You are a true fairy princess and a poet at that! Lots of love and fairy kisses from Aunty Karisma! (one day I will win the lottery and send you guys a ticket to come visit me! Until then, virtual hugs and kisses are in abundance!) xxxx000xxx000xxx000xxx000xxx000

What a beautiful and talented young lady you are.
And that Karisma, isn't she just the best?
Keep on writing that poetry and someday we'll all be able to say we knew you before you were a famous author.

Ok, everyday I look and there's no new post so I'm think Cassie may have to poke mama in the rear to get her in gear. :)

See I'm a poet too. :)

She should definitely post your poetry!! I have a daughter the same age as you and she is a girl scout. Some day, we are going to find a way for our two troops to meet. Somehow, some way!! Have you guys been to Savannah yet?
