The other day Cassie collected the mail and found a present from my good friend Jan. Notice that Cassie's name is on the envelope. She was so excited to see her name on the envelope she almost ripped it open before I could take a picture of it!!! Whoa Nelly, slow down a bit. If anyone wants to make Cassie's day, send her some mail!!
I was able to pry it out of Cassie's hands and take a quick picture before she grabbed it back and ripped it open. Inside we found a nice note from Jan and not one, but two packages of mismatched socks. When I entered her contest I mentioned that my daughter always wears mismatched socks. I think it must be a new fashion trend, or maybe she is starting a new fashion trend, or maybe her room is such a disaster area that she cannot find a pair of matched socks. I think the last one is probably the closest to the truth!! Anyways.....Jan must have remembered my comment and she lovingly remembered to include Cassie. Isn't she sweet?
Look how happy you made her Jan!!! I just love her huge, sweet smile! Thank you!
Amazingly enough....both packages of mismatched socks have gone into the black hole that is Cassie's room....wasn't one of the packages supposed to be for me?

I remember loving to get mail, too! I would fight with my sister to get the mail before she did! IT was just so exciting!
Now it's bills! I would kill for some mismatched socks instead of the gas bill! :)

LOL - I love it! the only time my boys' socks matched was the first time they were worn after purchase. Now its a trend! Makes things much simpler :D
Hate to tell you, now that you have a teenage daughter you won't have dibs on your own clothes anymore. :D

How fun is that?! And what a cute idea, mismatched socks? I may just start that trend in my house so that I can stop having to do 2-3 loads of laundry a day hoping to be able to come up with a matching pair of socks!
It was good to hear from you! I will have some wedding details to post soon. I'm afraid I'm not too excited to give details because I was a mess and so were my pictures! Oh, well, I'm at least married now. That's all that matters, right? :o)
Aren't they the cutest socks?! I'm so sorry your daughter stole yours. :( Maybe you'll be able to snag them back when they come through the wash. :)
Haha! Yes I can see how excited she looks there! I guess we don't get as excited over mail as its usually bills! LOL! When kids get mail its usually fun! I have to admit I also still get excited when a parcel comes. And letters too! They are a rarity these days with the internet being so handy!
