Thankful Thursday

Our host for this week's festivities is Lois. Thank you very much for hosting Lois.

This week I am thankful for the sun shine. After days and days of rain, it is so beautiful to look outside and see the sun. The sky is a beautiful shade of blue and the air is clean, clear, and cold!!! I hope to enjoy every minute of the sun's rays and warmth!

I am also thankful for the pain and emotions I felt this week over our Zack. This means that I have the capability of loving deeply and being loved back. This is a gift.

Yes, Zack. I dreamed about him last night. Seems weird to have a dream about a dog I have never met, but it really hit me. Love is a special thing.

And as for sun, I could use some! It's been gray and rainy here for literally weeks...and no end in sight! Typical Belgian winter :-(

Yes, Alison, you said it exactly! The depth of your pain proves how deeply you love... ALL feelings are important and worthwhile, I think. And it's true: what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Hang in there.

Love can be a painful pleasure but a pleasure nonetheless.

Love is one of the most frightening emotions. And I thank God everyday that I can be so frightened.

Hugs,
Lois

sometimes it's hard to know when you're in the thick of pain, though.

Hooray for the sunshine.
Hooray for our pets that define unconditional love for us.

I love how you find positive emotions in everything and that you had Zack in your life.
Long may the sunshine continue!

Sun is good - it warms the soul.

I'm sorry about Zack.

I did not get to everyone on Thursday so I am here today. I had not read about Zack. My heart is breaking for you!

"This is a gift." and so is you reminding the rest of us, especially those of us who are owned by their dogs, of this. Thank you.
