Thankful Thursday

Julie over at Another Chance Ranch has a wonderful idea. She would like us to write about something we are thankful for. I love this idea. It reminds us to focus on the positive instead of the negatives.

Count me in!! So here is my debut Thankful Thursday post.

Today I am thankful for my husband. He is a wonderful man but some days he just shines. Last night I came home from work and he was making dinner. Both children had completed their homework. He had a load of laundry in the washer and he folded the load from the dryer. But the one thing that brought tears to my eyes.....he had picked up all the dog poop from the backyard AND washed down the deck! That means that I don't have to do that gross job today on my day off!!

That makes my Thursday very Thankful!!

Head on over to Julie's place if you need a little positive jumpstart to your day!!

We are close to finalizing our adoption of our first foster placment. When the adoption is final (March??), I will be blogging about our journey but until then it is confidential...

Praying for you!

Sounds like such a great guy! I'm 100% impressed that he picked up the poop!

You're one lucky lady!

Dog poop is my hubby's regular job(sshhh! Don't let him know that you do it.), but I love it when he helps me fold laundry etc. It is so nice to hear such a wonderful, loving story about someone else's husband. So many women complain, complain, complain. My husband isn't perfect, but he is perfect for me.

Alison, thanks so much for sharing your lovely story.

Hugs,
Debbie

Hey, thanks for joining in. Love your Thankful Thursday badge too. I am not going to send my husband to your blog for awhile, he picks up the dog poo and I would like to keep it that way. :)

You are so good. Writing, editing, being patient.

Does it show that I never edit or think about stuff I post? Or comments? I am such a super spaz!

I am trying to lure you to the *DARK SIDE*
hee hee

Oh, and those word verifications are soooo hard. (I am whining)

Definitely something to be thankful for~ that was always my job when we had a dog! BTW I have a pile of laundry and dinner to prepare ~ do you hire him out!

THat's so sweet!

My husband's a bit like that too, except he can't cook anything (well, toast and a poached egg, but that's it) and has no clue about laundry. But he does pick up the dog poop regularly along with taking the rubbish out. I never have to do those two things.

Yay for poop picking husbands. They are a wonderful breed. ;)

Wow what a husband, maybe we can clone him :)

My mother seems to forget that not only was I sent out to clean up the dog mess but I was made to donate my bucket and spade as tools for that job. Now I admit I had grown out of playing with them but they were still my bucket and spade and held memories of happy holidays which were then tainted by dog pooh!

Btw can your hubby teach my hubby how to be more thoughtfull?

What a great husband. My husband scoops the litter boxes (we have 6 cats!) every day, twice a day! If he never did anything else that would be good enough!
