What funny trivial fact do you remember that you probably should have forgotten a long time ago?
I thought and thought about this all week and honestly I could not think of anything!!! I know...it is terrible!! So I am going to share with you useless, or useful, pieces of trivia that I just learned last weekend.
Did you know that you can use a snow sled to "sled" down a sand dune?
Did you know that your dog should not run next to you when sledding down the sand dune? (he was not hurt, don't worry...he is kind of a baby!!)
Did you know that 50 is not too old to sled down a sand dune? (he will actually turn 50 in October!!)

LOL! Cardboard and body boards work well also! And I don't think he's too old at all! If my mum can still climb trees at 65, really he is still a spring chicken! Looks like loads of fun!

That looks like so much fun and brings back a lot of memories. The dunes in our area are protected now so you can't slide down them but I did a lot of sliding as a child. Ahh for the good ole days!

Looks like fun. I've done that (sans sled) at Mount Baldy in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
I did know that 50 (or 51) was not too old to slide down something. Dogs tend to get in the way when sledding, but they'd rather take their chances than get left behind.
I see someone was trying to use cardboard, that doesn't work so well.
Great video clips, they work much better than anything I've posted.

That looks like tons of fun! Unfortunately, the only time I ever seem to slide is if I slip on an icy sidewalk. Good thing I live in Atlanta and an icy sidewalk is a rare thing!

Those videos were so fun to watch! But, I loved the "That was wicked!" your son shouted at the end of his ride. Too cute!
We just bought sledges for the sand dunes for our kids last week. We all really enjoyed them, but I have no video clips to share. Plan to post about it, including photos, soon!
