Our wonderful hostess this week is Angela from The Lurchers.....and here is her assignment...
Show me your favourite photograph and tell me why it's your favourite.
As soon as I read the assignment I knew exactly which picture I wanted to use. This picture was taken last summer right before we brought our puppy Baron home. I think of it as the last few precious days when Zack was an "only" dog. To me this picture epitomizes the relationship between a child and a dog. Both Michael and Zack have huge smiles on their faces. They are enjoying a beautiful summer day..running side by side. Since losing Zack in May due to cancer...this picture has become even more special to me.
I am looking forward to seeing all the other favorite pictures this week!!! Thanks for a great assignment Angela.

sigh -- and another sigh. Very sweet. I have a picture of my late dog sitting with me that I cherish, too. The look on your sons face is priceless.
(I'm glad I was able to get in to your blog. Over the past week it keeps timing out and I haven't been able to visit)
Ah Alison! I too had a Zack many years ago and, like you, he was my first dog. Hopefully your son had Zack for many years as a growing up buddy.
oh i love this photo tooooo!!
Very sweet! I also love shots like these! And I also have a Zak but he is not a dog! LOL!
Perfect! What a lovely moment!
Awww, a boy and his dog, fantastic.
what a treasured moment that will stay with you forever
Great, another dog picture! You're right, that picture does capture the joy of the relationship, on both side.
With reference to which bundle of cuteness to choose (you post on 8/8), if you can, choose the puppy that chooses you. My youngest dog chose me, and she has been an awesome addition to my house.
Awwwwwwww, the photo is so sweet, and I was enjoying the story a lot...then, Zack no longer with you. How sad. I'm so glad you shared this beautiful photo.
My FM favorite photos are shared also, I do hope you can find time to stop by.
....wishing you a glorious week.
Alison, what a great choice, a boy and his dog.
The true definition of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is portrayed in this photo !
The smiles on both those faces says it all.

It is never easy to lose a pet. I am glad you have this picture to bring you joy!
Now that's something to bring back great memories...
Boys and dogs - is there any relationship as perfect? :D Both are simple and just overflowing with love and joy for everything and everyone around them.

Great choice, Alison!
I am a sucker for a dog photo. I see why you like this one so much.
Nothing like a boy and his dog.
So nice he has a new pup to pour his love into.
Ah … there’s nothing quite like a happy boy with his beloved dog … made all the more poignant when that fur-friend has passed on to the next world! Wonderful choice for today’s theme!!!
Hugs and blessings,
I lost my own dog recently and I know that every picture (especially the ones with the kids) mean an awful lot.
Wonderful shot!
I am so happy that you were able to capture this moment. Great choice!
That is a special picture
What a lovely moment to remember. Thanks for sharing this.
There is something precious about a boy and his dog. :) I have one of my son sleeping with one of the pups and they are just adorable. :)
It's a lovely photo.
What a beautiful picture of a boy and his dog. And I am so sorry that he has passed away. Keep those memories.
Still making my way through the FM list and so glad I got to see your picture! I can't tell who is more happy, Michael or Zack!! A great photo.
